Spoon carving is spreading like wildfire and Australia is fast succumbing to its charms. This ancient art connects us with the resources of nature, quietens the mind, and inspires our creativity.
And now Spoonies, the spoon carving escape, is here again! Come and experience the art and spirit of spoon carving in the beautiful Tweed Valley of Northern NSW.
Master craftsman, Bob Howard, will lead the Spoonies group in carving projects suited to your expertise.
Spoonies is absolutely suitable for beginners and from this year the Spoonies Artisan Challenge will offer creative and skill-based challenges for our more advanced carvers.
Camping is available on site or we can help you find a range of nearby accommodation options.
As the event has grown, we have decided to keep numbers capped to maintain the inclusive feel of the event. In past years we have attracted participants from all over Australia, and even overseas – with carvers from New Zealand and Ireland. Spoon carving is getting more popular every year, so get in quick to secure your spot.
